Polypropylene
Also known as Olefin.
A common synthetic material used in carpet manufacturing, which represents more than 35% of the total fibres used in the carpet industry. Whilst polypropylene is not as resilient or resistant to abrasion as nylon, it is static-resistant, strong, resists fading and permanent stains, and is easily cleaned. Polypropylene is most often used in loop pile carpet constructions.
