Loop Pile

Also known as Round Wire in woven carpet terminology.

A woven or tufted carpet style having a pile surface consisting of uncut loops. To create the carpet, a small hook known as a looper grabs the yarn and holds it in place.

Loop pile products hold their appearance very well. As there are no exposed yarn tips, only the sides of the yarn are exposed to wear and stress. Generally speaking, low profile loop carpet stands up to heavy traffic best.
